About Amar

This charity organization AMAR was founded in 2015 by Walkiria Flütsch in Untervaz. AMAR is recognized as a non-profit association. We are an independent organization, which currently supports the charity organization in the Cape Verdean Islands.
AMAR actively contributes to improve the living conditions and future prospects of children and young people who lost their parents, who were abandoned by their parents or are in danger of losing their parents.
We support schools and projects regardless of ethnic origin, religion or gender. All members are volunteers and unpaid.
We guarantee that the donations will be used specifically and efficiently. 100% of the donations will be used for the children and their care. We will be on site regularly, to make sure that the donations are being put to good use, thus making sure we are convinced that the present and future projects do make sense.

Our Vision

AMAR believes that children who grow up in a healthy environment, will change the world. Every child in the world should be able to live with dignity. Access to shelter, food, information and education allows each child to realize its full potential and to be able to contribute something to the community and the world.

Our actions

AMAR mainly sets its focus on the Cape Verdean island of Sal. Actively contributing to improve the living conditions and future prospects of children and young people who lost their parents, who were abandoned by their parents or are in danger of losing their parents.

What we do:

Execution of development projects in the areas of care, education, health, prevention and emergency assistance in close cooperation with partners and local authorities.
Generating revenue to finance projects and facilities of AMAR.
Program development, -planning, -accompaniment and control to ensure the careful and efficient use of donations.
